Leopards vs Waimea Heights (by Alice)
An eyewitness account of today's match by Alice Cox, aged 7
On Saturday 27th May we played Waimea Heights. We lost our game and the score was 1-3.
The Leopards did very well in the second half. Sarah was a very good player and scored the one goal for us, we were glad we have her here on our team. All the parents said either "Yay!" or "Too bad."
What is the secret formula for the Leopards? LOLLIES! Eleanor brought some secret-weapon sour bears for half time.
In the second half, we tried very hard indeed because Waimea Heights had already scored three goals. Sarah, me and Bella got kicked by accident by a girl from the other team but the Leopards did very good kicks, throw-ins and attacks.
At the end, we shook hands. Some people had to shake the deadly enemy's hands.
